Here are some Frequently Asked Questions about Hiring a wedding car in Dorset and the service we offer at Barnes Wedding Cars.

Why should I book with you?
Simply because we are the best! Barnes wedding cars have been established for over 20 years supplying beautiful wedding cars to thousands of happy Brides in Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. Having been in the industry for so long we have fine tuned our service to exceed our customer’s expectations. We encourage Bride and Grooms to come and view our cars in person at a time convenient for you so you can see how well maintained the cars are and the outstanding condition they are kept. Barnes Wedding Cars are a professional full time wedding car supplier.

What happens when I book with Barnes Wedding Cars?
At the time of booking Christine will become your personal representative from Barnes Wedding Cars. You will need to complete and return a booking form with a deposit. A month before your wedding Christine will invoice you with your final payment. About 10 days before your wedding Christine will then phone you to discuss all of the details of your booking to ensure everything goes to plan. At this stage Christine will have spoken with your driver to confirm your pickup time (allowing for any roadwork’s or events that may be on in the area). On the day of your wedding your fully uniformed Chauffeur will arrive to provide you with your transport for the day. Christine will be by the phone on the day of your wedding (even at the weekends!) in case you have any last minute queries.

Why is it important that you own the cars?
At Barnes Wedding Cars we own our fleet of Vintage style wedding cars and we do not outsource our work to other companies/individuals. We therefore can ensure you will only receive an immaculate car with a fully uniformed professional driver on your wedding day. Each car is inspected by the Managing Director on the day of your wedding before it is allowed to leave the lockup for your wedding. The car must be cleaned to the highest standard and include the extras that we provide including umbrella, tissues, mints, water, compact mirror and bottle of bubbly for the Bride and Groom.

From your first enquiry until the day of your wedding you will have one person who will know all the details of your booking. Our drivers are fully trained by us to ensure they uphold our companies professionalism and level of service. If in the unfortunate event of a breakdown we will endeavour to supply one of our other cars even at very short notice. We are proud to say we have never let a bride down in the 22 years that we have been trading.

What areas do you cover?
We are based in Ferndown and cover local areas only which include Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. We do not supply cars to Dorchester or Southampton as these are too far for our vehicles to travel.  Barnes Wedding Cars have chosen to offer a small select area in order to manage each booking. By limiting the area we cover we can ensure we know of any local events, roadwork’s, road diversions that may need to be considered for your wedding day. We also have an outstanding knowledge of the area including picturesque places you may want to stop for photographs. If there was a problem with a car we can aim to replace the car quickly and efficiently with minimal disruption to your day.

How much do you charge for a wedding car in Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch or surrounding area?
Prices vary according to distance and the date of the wedding….for example a booking on a Monday in November will be less than a Saturday in July. Our prices range for a typical wedding from £250 – £400.

How much deposit is required?
A non refundable deposit of £75 per car is taken at the time of booking. A month before your wedding and invoice will be sent for the final payment.

Do you have umbrellas in the cars?
Every car has a wedding umbrella. We try to cater for all your needs so each car will have a bottle of water, mints, tissues, compact mirror and a bottle of bubbly for the bride and groom.

Can we view the cars?
Yes we encourage customers to come and view our cars at one of the wedding exhibitions we attend or at our lockup (near Bournemouth Airport) by appointment.

Do you supply the bows and wedding ribbons on the cars?
Yes, this is inclusive of the price you pay. We recommend that the cars look best with ivory ribbons.

Are the cars Vintage Wedding Cars?
The cars owned by Barnes Wedding Cars are replica Vintage Style Cars. We have the vehicles built especially for us so all of the cars have matching paintwork. As the wedding cars are new vehicles they do not have any rust or damage to the exterior. The leather seats are immaculate without signs of wear and tear that you might find in a true Vintage Wedding Car. The cars are also built with new engines to ensure the reliability of the cars. Parts can be sourced from local companies and garages to ensure they are maintained throughout the year. All of the wedding cars are kept in pristine condition and no detail is spared in maintaining and servicing our cars.
